My Questionaire Design Experience.

My quiz: How Yuen Hyung are you?
---
In the process of making this quiz, I have indeed reflected upon the skills needed in making an assessment test. There are many factors which affect how these kinds of evaluation tests are being set, like how the questions should encompass many different factors which the test aims to discover about. The test setters should also take into account how people usually choose a certain answer if a certain question is asked. For example if they are asked if they like to pick their nose, of course people will say no even if they do because this is something rather embarrassing. So questions should be set such that it conveys something positive.

I think my quiz can be improved because I feel that this quiz was made out of fun and for a laugh, and it is not meant to really test anything.

Should IQ testing be allowed for job application?

IQ is a score gotten from a test which is designed to access intelligence. It determines your "smartness" and the ability to learn and keep knowledge. Ultimately it also determines the distance in life you will go through, because in modern times you need to be smart in order to move on, and there are many "obstacles" like PSLE, O levels, A levels, etc.

In my opinion, I think that it should be allowed for job application, but it should not be the main factor deciding if the applicant will get the job. Of course it does determine your capability to do your job well, but to do your job well requires many other factors as well, like leadership, and of course your attributes. This will lead to someone who is all-rounded, street smart, not only just intelligent.

Thus I think it should be allowed for job applications.

Which Perspective on Personality Makes The Most Sense.

I think the perspective about how everything is done because of two desires makes the most sense, mainly Eros and Thanatos.

If you think about it, everything we do can be linked to having an end result of sex. For example, you eat to survive to have sex, or you sleep so that you can have energy the next day for sex. And so on, because this is what all animals are made to do: procreate.

For those issues that Freud could not explain through the Eros (libido), he came up with Thanatos in which things we do is to eventually return to an inanimate state i.e. death. Examples include sadism and masochism, where these acts are considered "direct manifestations of the death instinct".

Thus I feel this makes the most sense.
